Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Design Manager to lead end-to-end design delivery for data centre construction across major European markets. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to ensure high-performance infrastructure meets exact engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the design delivery of mission-critical facilities, specifically within M&E-led industries such as Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, or Energy.
• Strong knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, life safety, and control systems, plus local building codes.
• Proven ability to direct multidisciplinary design teams and manage vendor/internal stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Architecture/Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services with international travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants: manage external design teams to deliver mission-critical data centre facilities.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: partner with internal construction, finance, sales, and operations teams to execute fit-out programs.
• Provide engineering oversight: direct budget, schedule, and product delivery to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
• Manage project risks: identify engineering risks early to protect timelines and delivery standards.
