Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to lead end-to-end design delivery for data centre projects across Europe. You will oversee external design consultants and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure facilities meet exact engineering standards and align with global specifications.

The role requires extensive experience in M&E-led facilities, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to travel up to 25% internationally.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities such as data centres.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life safety, and control systems.
• Experience directing multidisciplinary design teams and managing stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities aligned with specs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to execute fit-out programs.
• Provide engineering oversight on budget, schedule, and product delivery.
• Identify design risks early to protect timelines and delivery standards.
