Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Design Manager to lead end-to-end design delivery for data centre construction across Europe. You will manage third-party design consultants and coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects meet exact engineering standards.

Travel up to 25% is required as you collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to optimize fit-outs, manage risks, and uphold quality and safety. This role offers competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities (data centres, pharma, energy).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life-safety and control systems.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants: Manage external design teams to deliver mission-critical facilities that align with global specifications.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner with internal construction, finance, sales, and operations teams to execute fit-out programs and validate opportunities.
• Provide engineering oversight: Direct budget, schedule, and product delivery to keep projects compliant with quality and safety regulations.
• Manage project risks: Identify engineering risks early to protect timelines and delivery standards.
