Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. You’ll lead end-to-end design delivery for critical data centre construction projects across Europe, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to meet exact engineering standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities, strong knowledge of M&E systems and local codes, and a track record of managing design teams and vendors in

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities (data centres, pharma, energy).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life-safety and control systems and local codes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage vendor/internal stakeholders.
• Degree in Architecture or Building Services/Engineering with international travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities aligned with global specs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with construction, finance, sales and operations to execute fit-out programs.
• Provide engineering oversight: budget, schedule and product delivery for compliant projects.
• Identify engineering risks early to protect timelines and delivery standards.
