Job description

We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to join a skilled and collaborative engineering team developing cutting‑edge products for the defence sector. You’ll translate complex system requirements into innovative electronic designs, ensuring successful customer acceptance on time and within budget. Must be available to work in Cherstey or Weymouth, relocation package available!

What you’ll do:

Lead the architectural and detailed design of electronics solutions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to create successful design outcomes.

Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, test, and smooth transition to production.

Support system integration, including troubleshooting and fault finding.

Produce high-quality documentation, drawings, and bills of materials in line with company procedures.

Provide occasional on‑site support for installation and maintenance.

What you’ll bring:

Degree or equivalent qualification in electronics or related discipline.

Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (essential).

Broad analogue and digital electronics design experience, including:

  • Low‑noise power supply and distribution
  • Analogue signal conditioning
  • Data acquisition systems
  • FPGA‑based control

EMC‑compliant design

Proven track record in the full electronics product lifecycle : specification, circuit design, validation, compliance, and formal acceptance.

Experience with ECAD tools (Cadence OrCAD desirable).

Strong problem‑solving skills, able to fault find to component level.
