Qualifications
  • Essential: Higher education or experience within subject fields: Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or similar.
  • Essential: An understanding of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and design principles.
  • Essential: Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits.
  • Essential: Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Essential: Professional manner and adaptability when project needs are evolving.
  • Desirable: Knowledge in the application of a military EMC standard to system, sub‑system or equipment level (e.g. Defence Standard 59‑41 / 59‑411, AECTP500, Mil‑Std‑461, RTCA DO160 / EUROCAE ED‑14).
  • Desirable: Previous experience in delivering support around the subject of electromagnetic compatibility.
Responsibilities

This role is in our EMC Project Team who support MBDA programmes throughout their product lifecycles from concept through to disposal. The majority of the work is establishing, progressing and delivering the risk reduction and qualification strategies that will bring a product into service. The EMC Project Team support projects to ensure the correct requirements are implemented, that designs are robust and the strategy is accurate.

Compensation

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience.

Hybrid Working

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on‑site due to workload classification.

Security Clearance

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
