Job summary

A leading engineering company in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Authority to oversee electrical Low Voltage systems during the Hook-Up and Commissioning phase. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of offshore electrical commissioning experience and a proven track record in HV/LV systems. Certification in hazardous area electrical work is required. This position is outside of IR35 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in offshore electrical commissioning, including HUC phases.
• Proven track record in energization and troubleshooting of HV/LV systems.
• Certifications: CompEx Ex01-Ex04 (Hazardous Area Electrical).
• HV Switching Authorization (up to 11kV desired).
• Knowledge of IEC standards, ATEX compliance, hazardous area installation.

Job description

Aker Solutions are looking for an Electrical Technical Authority for East Anglia 3. The role has been determined as outside of IR35.

Responsibilities

• Provide discipline oversight and assurance for all electrical Low Voltage systems during the Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) phase of EA3
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards while supporting safe and efficient energization and commissioning

Qualifications

• 10+ years in offshore electrical commissioning, including HUC phases
• Proven track record in energization and troubleshooting of HV/LV systems
• Certifications: CompEx Ex01-Ex04 (Hazardous Area Electrical)
• HV Switching Authorization (up to 11kV). (desired)
• Knowledge: IEC standards, ATEX compliance, hazardous area installation. Electrical protection and control systems
• (Degree preferred but not essential).
