Get Recruited (UK) Ltd in North Fambridge, Chelmsford is seeking a Technical Customer Service Advisor with an electrical background to help customers understand products and solve technical problems.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Support Advisor, Customer Service Executive or similar supporting customers with electrical/electronic products.
• Alternatively an electrical engineering background with experience explaining technical information to customers.
• Sound understanding of electrical components and how they function within a circuit.
• Confident reading electrical diagrams and technical datasheets, including supply voltages and relay contacts.
• Clear communication skills, patience and a methodical approach to investigating customer problems.
• Strong attention to detail when processing orders and recording information.
• Balanced within a small team, comfortable handling multiple tasks (tech enquiries, orders, admin).

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email, asking relevant questions to understand requirements and provide clear, accurate advice.
• Explain electrical product functions and specifications to help customers understand technical information.
• Read datasheets and diagrams to answer questions about relays, control circuits and components.
• Investigate product performance and faults, gathering information to determine next steps.
• Liaise with technical colleagues and overseas manufacturing to resolve complex questions.
• Manage enquiries through the shared inbox and follow up until resolution.
• Process customer orders accurately, checking references, quantities and requirements.
• Answer questions about availability, order progress and deliveries.
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required and adapt to new automated systems.
