Job summary

Get Recruited is supporting an established engineering business in recruiting a Technical Customer Service Advisor in North Fambridge, near Chelmsford. You will use your electrical knowledge to answer technical enquiries, support customers and keep orders moving, joining a small, friendly team.

The role blends technical product knowledge with customer care and order administration. Regular team events are held and birthdays are celebrated with a day off.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Support Advisor or Customer Service Executive.
• Electrical/electronic product knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and datasheets.
• Clear communication, patience and methodical problem solving.
• Experience with order processing and basic packing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email with clear, accurate advice.
• Explain electrical product functions and specifications to customers.
• Read datasheets and schematics to answer questions about relays and control circuits.
• Investigate product performance and fault enquiries with collected information.
• Liaise with technical colleagues and overseas manufacturing to resolve questions.
• Manage enquiries via shared inbox and maintain records until resolution.
• Process customer orders accurately in the order management system.
• Answer questions about availability, progress and deliveries.
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required.
• Adapt to new ordering and customer administration systems.
