Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor in Huntingdonshire. The role involves assisting the Site Manager with electrical works on a 400kV substation project. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence, National Grid Competent Person NSI certifications, and at least 5 years of related experience. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
  • Relevant previous experience at a supervisory level.

Job description

A client of ours are looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to assist the Site Manager with the electrical works on a 400kV substation project. This includes interfacing with and monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information to the Site Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site.
  • Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed
  • Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
  • Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner
  • To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels
  • To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
  • To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team
  • To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
  • To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded
  • Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
  • Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings
  • Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including issuing Permits to Dig
  • Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project
Minimum Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
