Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer for a permanent role in Euston, London. You will be responsible for delivering essential maintenance across electrical and HVAC systems while leading site technicians. Essential qualifications include being electrically qualified (City & Guilds 2382) and having a strong background in commercial building maintenance. Passion for building services and commitment to excellence is a must.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified (City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition) required.
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance essential.
• Hands-on experience with relevant building systems is a must.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and HVAC systems.
• Operate and monitor building systems via BMS.
• Lead and support site technicians ensuring high service standards.

Skills

Electrically qualified (City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition)

Strong background in commercial building maintenance

Hands-on experience with AHUs, BMS, HVAC, UPS, generators, and water systems

Excellent communication and IT skills

Electrical Shift Engineer – Days Only

Location: Euston, London

Schedule: 4 on 4 off (07:00–19:00)

Sector: Facilities Management

Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and HVAC systems
• Operate and monitor building systems via BMS and alert platforms
• Lead and support site technicians, ensuring high standards of service delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation, shift logs, and handover reports
• Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams
• Drive energy efficiency and propose operational improvements
• Manage incidents and ensure compliance with KPIs and SLAs

Qualifications and Skills

• Essential: Electrically qualified (City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition)
• Strong background in commercial building maintenance
• Hands-on experience with AHUs, BMS, HVAC, UPS, generators, and water systems
• Excellent communication and IT skills

Desirable Extras

• HV experience
• Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work (PTW, RAMS)
