Job summary
Mott MacDonald Bentley is looking for an Electrical Engineer to shape electrical design across water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will work from concept through commissioning, covering MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation and PLC/SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with current standards.
You will mentor graduates and engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and travel to sites as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Chartered or Incorporated with a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with water or wastewater projects.
- Ability to deliver high-quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review designs for schemes, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards.
- Work on Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
- Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement.
- Understand and apply design standards and supervise cross-disciplinary interfaces.
- Mentor graduates and engineers; support delivery across design, construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with client teams and undertake site reviews to ensure buildability.
