Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to water sector projects in the UK. You will influence electrical design from concept to commissioning and collaborate with MCCs, LV systems, PLCs/SCADA, and instrumentation.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, active pursuit of IEng/CEng, and strong communication skills. A driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Working towards IEng/CEng with a recognised Engineering Institution.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites.
• Work with MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, networks, PLCs and SCADA.
• Apply design standards including Client and WIMES standards and legislation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design team to meet brief, programme and budget.
• Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules.
• Review technical submissions and factory acceptance tests.
• Engage with the client and manage relationships.
