Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Energy unit, Transmission & Distribution division. You will develop electrical designs for major projects from inception to commissioning, covering renewables connections, substations, and protection schemes.

You will lead technical work, work across disciplines, and support bids while delivering to time and budget, with opportunities to mentor junior staff in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Some experience within electrical project engineering with focus on installations from LV up to 11kV/33kV.

Responsibilities

• Produce tender specifications, calculations, designs and drawings for 11kV/33kV networks and renewable connections.
• Provide technical leadership and bid support, project planning and delivery to a high standard.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and graduates.
