Overview

Electrical Controls Engineer - West Yorkshire - Permanent - £45-55k + 25 days holiday + private medical insurance + hybrid

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer for a specialist engineering company with a base on the outskirts of Leeds. The company operates in a niche market and have a successful track record of designing and building bespoke, one-off pieces of equipment for their customers.

Responsibilities
  • Experience of designing and producing electrical drawings for control systems (AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD).
  • Oversee the design and delivery of all work related to the electrical control and automation.
  • Take full responsibility for the selection and procurement of all control-related hardware and components.
  • The company is open to training the successful Electrical Controls Engineer in writing PLC software programs.
  • Work in the refrigeration sector; no previous experience in refrigeration required.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to onsite engineers and end users.
  • Put together quotations.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills and represent the organisation at external project meetings.
  • The role is roughly 80/20 between the office and customer sites.
  • Overtime on site is paid at single time for hours worked over the standard on-site hours.
Working hours & benefits

Working hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.30pm on Fridays; when not onsite, you will be in the office or on the shop floor. A hybrid option is available once you’re up and running. Benefits include 25 days holiday and private medical insurance.

Location & commute

The role is commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Wetherby, Keighley, Guiseley and Farsley. The Staffordshire site is commutable from Lichfield, Burntwood, Cannock, Rugeley, Walsall, Stafford and Tamworth.
