A healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a qualified EMHP/CWP to deliver evidence-based mental health support to children and young people. The role involves working within schools, offering interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues, and collaborating with educational and health professionals. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in child wellbeing. This permanent full-time position offers a salary between £37,259 and £45,356 per annum.
In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the EMHP/CWP role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.
This is a role within the Green Paper for Transforming children and young people's mental health programme. The post holder will work within the City & Hackney Mental Health Support in Schools team, which is part of the wider Specialist CAMHS. The team focuses on early intervention and prevention within the school context involving both whole school and individual approaches. The post holder will deliver, under supervision, high-quality, outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The role includes provision of low‑intensity interventions (one‑to‑one, group and workshops) to children, young people and their parents, developing an active presence within school settings, and contributing to the development of the Whole School Approach in schools. Collaboration with other MHST members and the wider multidisciplinary team, signposting families to appropriate support, and contributing to service development are also key responsibilities.
Support local schools' overarching approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people by working as part of a multidisciplinary team of EMHPs, CAMHS Practitioners, Educational Psychologists and trainee EMHPS. Play a key role in service delivery, team development, and consultation with professional networks.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
