Job summary

SENse Learning in Farnham is hiring Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across a range of settings. Roles are ongoing, with flexible, in-person, hybrid, and community-based sessions arranged with parents, carers, or schools.

You will build positive relationships, deliver creative, interest-based activities, and support life skills, confidence and independence. Trauma-informed approaches help you adapt to diverse needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience with children/young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health)
• Ideal for Support Workers, LSAs, TAs, HLTAs, Youth Workers, PAs, or related care/education backgrounds
• Child-centred holistic approach; ability to adapt curriculum to individual student needs
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people in challenging settings
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs
• Model emotional regulation and provide feedback to track progress
