Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Learning Support Assistants in Godalming to provide one-to-one mentoring and tailored learning support for SEND learners across settings in the UK. You will design creative, session-based activities that re-engage disengaged students and help them build confidence and life skills.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with children or young people with complex needs, a child-centred approach, and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK; remote/online options may be available.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and 2+ professional references.
• Child-centred, holistic approach with creative, individualised learning plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may face significant challenges.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative, interest-based activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies to support diverse needs.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support as needed.
