Job summary

SENse Learning seeks an Education Assistant in Woking to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners in homes and community settings. You will deliver individualised activities from our curriculum with a child-centred approach, focusing on confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills.

Roles offer flexible hours with in-person, hybrid, and community-based opportunities, and a self-employed, mentor arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience with children/young people with complex additional needs is required.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references are required.
• You must be based in the UK with right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings delivering creative activities.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and young people facing challenges.
• Support development of life skills, confidence, and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support as needed.
