Early Years Teaching Assistant – Havering, London

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

Academics are currently working with a welcoming school in Havering that have an opportunity for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant & growing team.

Role details
  • Location: Havering, London
  • Start: ASAP
  • Finish: July 2026
  • Contract: Long term
  • Salary: £90 – £115 per day
  • School context: One form entry, Good OFSTED
  • Support: Supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to support early years learning
Qualifications and attributes
  • A love for children and early years education
  • Patience, positivity, and a big dose of enthusiasm
  • Insight into specialist interventions and strategies, including Makaton
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and therapeutic support strategies
  • A passion for supporting students with complex needs in education and training settings
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff
  • Have a valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Have a relevant degree e.g. Psychology
