Role : Early Years Practitioner / Teaching Assistant

Location : Longvernal Primary School

Start Date : ASAP

Closing Date : 09.01.2026

Interview Date : W / C 12.01.2026

Hours : 6.25 hours per day 25 hours per week 4 days per week term time and 2 inset days.

Salary : 25185- 25583 pro rata Actual Salary 14424.69 - 14652.64

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent Early Years Practitioner / Teaching Assistant to join our committed and professional team. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter able to work on their own initiative and has a commitment to excellent early years working practices and an awareness of Forest School practice. The post will be across our early years setting which includes both Reception and Nursery. We need someone who is committed to a close knit school with all the opportunities and challenges that brings.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Early Years Lead / Nursery Manager to implement agreed work programmes in or out of the classroom. Confidence and experience at communicating with parents would be an advantage.

Ideally we are looking for someone who already has a Nursery Nurse or Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above. Experience of working in a Reception Class would be an advantage.
