Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our agency to support with day to day needs across a variety of schools in Hatfield, and surrounding areas of Hertfordshire.

Suitable candidates will drive and be willing to support at a variety of schools.

The hours are typically 8:30am - 3:30pm, although we also work with nurseries that require ad hoc support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons for EYFS children.
  • Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Helping with the preparation of learning resources and activities.
  • Providing one-on-one support to children, both academically and emotionally.
  • Assisting with assessments and tracking the progress of students.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children with their social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements
  • DBS on the update service (this is a must) or willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Two years of employment references.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation required).
  • Experience working with children, ideally in an early years setting.
  • A friendly, patient, and caring nature with a passion for working with young children.
Desirable but not essential
  • Paediatric first aid qualification.
  • Experience in supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN).
