Job Details

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and drive common solutions. Work closely with technical experts who take pride in their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex and critical tasks, helping to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring all incidents are resolved according to procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming phone calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support, field engineering groups, and other service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular and comprehensive updates.
  6. Organise traffic management, coordinating with traffic management providers, regional control teams, and field resources.
  7. Liaise with customers to provide updates on network incidents.
  8. Coordinate with utility companies regarding power loss issues affecting the network.
Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with individuals at all levels of seniority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
