Job Description:

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts who take pride in their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex, critical tasks to maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician supports the NOC engineering team by ensuring incident resolution according to procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working within a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  • Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  • Action Service Requests.
  • Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support, field engineering groups, and other service providers.
  • Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  • Organise traffic management, coordinating with traffic providers, regional control, and field resources.
  • Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
  • Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.
Qualifications:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of seniority.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
