Job Description:

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts dedicated to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical tasks, helping to maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working within a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate/despatch tickets to support and engineering teams, and other service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  6. Organise traffic management, coordinating with providers, regional control, and field resources.
  7. Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
  8. Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.
Qualifications:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with all levels of seniority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
