Job summary

A respected primary school in Longbridge is searching for an Experienced Y3 Teaching Assistant to provide support to students both individually and in groups. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and have experience in an educational setting, especially with KS2/SEN. This role offers the opportunity to join a friendly team in a rewarding environment. The position is full-time and term-time only, commencing in January 2026, with the option to start ASAP if available.

Experienced Y3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Longbridge

Start Date: January 2026 (option to start ASAP if free)

Hours: Full-time, Term-Time Only (School Hours 8.30am-3.30pm)

A popular, welcoming and well respected primary school are looking for a dedicated Experienced Y3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team on an ongoing basis from January 2026. If you’re passionate about helping children thrive, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Y3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support groups of students and 1:1 who need additional support outside the classroom & within class settings depending on their needs that day
  • Assist the class teacher with resources, activities, and daily tasks
  • Help with playground supervision and other daily school duties
  • Maintain a positive, organised and safe learning environment
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, staff, and families
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic, patient, and child-centred
  • A great communicator with a warm approach
  • A team player who can take initiative
  • Experienced in supporting children in an educational setting and supporting KS2 / SEN
