Job summary

QinetiQ is recruiting a 2nd Line Support Engineer to deliver high-quality IT support across systems, infrastructure, and services on a major MoD programme. The role involves incident resolution, maintenance, and change implementation within a highly secure environment.

You will work closely with customers, vendors and internal teams, providing documentation and procedures, and participating in an outside-hours rota to ensure availability and performance of critical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' professional IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiar with ITSM tools and service desk processes.
• Experience in secure/restricted environments (DV preferred).

Responsibilities

• Resolving incidents and service requests across IT services.
• Supporting system administration, maintenance, patching and configuration.
• Collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Implementing changes per change management processes.
• Producing technical documentation and procedures.
• Willingness to be part of the outside hours rota.
