Qualifications

home to your planned jobs each day, with the radio or a podcast for company.While the vast majority of your work will be carried out alone, there will also be occasional jobs that require a two person team.When you arrive at each job you'll install gas and power SMETS2 meters or standard meters with a data logger.You'll be given high levels of autonomy in your role and be responsible for your own:

  • personal stock management - re-stocking your van and returning old stock via a personal drop-box facility, or local stores
  • timekeeping - making sure you turn up to planned jobs in plenty of time and respond to emergency calls as required
  • safety and the safety of those around you - this is really important to us - you'll receive full ongoing training and support in relation to all aspects of health and safety on the job - and you'll be responsible for continually ensuring this, including reporting any unsafe situations found during your day
  • customer service approach - representing and protecting our strong Energy Assets brand name, carrying out your work conscientiously and ensuring abort rates are minimised
What we're looking for...

We're looking for experienced Engineers who'll hit the ground running and be competent in completing all works, including installation, removal and exchange of meters, in accordance with industry codes of practice and our internal procedures.

  • MET 1 qualified in gas with at least 2 years' experience in all technical aspects of SMETS/AMR electrical metering, including installing single phase meters off multi-way heads
  • At least 12 months dual fuel metering experience
  • Self-motivated individual who works well as part of a team and has excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills for short interactions directly with customers at each job and liaise with colleagues across our wider business
