Job summary

RAC in the UK is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the country. You’ll start and end your day from home, with 40-hour shifts and potential overtime, supported by a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform.

You’ll need a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 5+ years in the field) plus a UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle calls on a roadside or at customers' locations, providing quick, confident solutions and reassurance.
