Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Liverpool is seeking Driver's Mates to support deliveries to customer sites, helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

You will start early, between 05:00 and 06:00, Monday to Friday, and perform manual handling tasks, loading and unloading, while maintaining excellent customer service. This permanent, full-time role offers annualised hours and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to manual handling and loading/unloading tasks.
• Ability to manage workload and stay organised in a busy transport environment.
• Experience delivering to customer sites and providing good service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of products to customer sites.
• Load and unload goods safely using manual handling techniques.
• Check delivery paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Support drivers and transport teams throughout shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Pay Rate: £32,392.70
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time - Annualised Hours)

We're looking for Drivers Mates to join our team, supporting deliveries to customer sites and helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on role that offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to be part of a busy transport operation.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Supporting drivers with the delivery of beer kegs and cases to hospitality locations
• Loading, unloading, and moving products safely using approved manual handling techniques
• Checking products against delivery paperwork and reporting any discrepancies
• Assisting with vehicle checks, debriefs, and end-of-shift tasks
• Providing excellent customer service while working closely with drivers and transport teams

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
• Have previous experience of working with volume orders
• Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
• Previous experience as a Driver's Mate, within a similar environment would be ideal but isn't a deal breaker!
