Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Driver's Mate to assist our drivers in delivering goods safely and on time from Exeter. This role involves manual handling, loading and unloading at licensed premises, and keeping in touch with the transport team to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Physically fit as the role involves manual handling.
• Good organisational skills to manage your workload.
• Able to perform simple maths calculations.
• Full driving licence Cat B desirable; no more than 6 points on licence.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday Start times 05:00 - 09:00, Plus 3 Contracted Saturdays throughout the year

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Coordinating the picking and loading of alcohol onto your assigned vehicle prior to delivery
• Accompanying and assisting driver with unloading deliveries at licensed premises
• Staying in touch with the transport team to advise of any problems
• Completing relevant processes on an electronic handheld device

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
• Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
• Can perform simple math's calculations
• Previous experience as a Driver's Mate, within a similar environment would be ideal but isn't a deal breaker!
• Full valid driving licence Cat B (Car Licence) Desirable
• No more than 6 points
