Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Delivery/Warehouse Assistant who will deliver, install and collect daily living aids and medical devices to service users in the Swindon community to help promote independent living for people living in their own homes. You will also be responsible for cleaning and minor repairs of equipment and manual storekeeping. Other duties include vehicle checks, routine maintenance and cleaning of work vehicles, and assisting with equipment cleaning, quality control and locating equipment in stores.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver, install and collect daily living aids and medical devices to service users in the Swindon community to support independent living in their own homes.
  • Carry out cleaning and minor repairs of equipment and maintain manual store records.
  • Perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance and cleaning of work vehicles.
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, quality control and locating of equipment in stores.
  • Provide high quality customer service face to face and by phone, maintaining professionalism and sensitivity at all times.
  • Record and relay accurate information regarding equipment deliveries or collections, ensuring polite and professional interaction with service users.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Full clean driver’s licence.
  • Fluent English language proficiency (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
  • Knowledge of OT equipment is preferred.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
