Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting a Driver’s Mate based in the West Thurrock area. You will support drivers and warehouse teams with loading and unloading stock, while helping plan efficient routes to locations and back home safely.

Qualifications

• Manual handling experience or training desired
• Prior experience as a driver’s mate, drayman or in a warehouse is desirable but not required
• Knowledge of the local region is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Support the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Assist the driver with efficient traffic routes to reach locations and return home safely and quickly.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and other departments.
• Maintain health and safety as a top priority in all processes.

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexibility to work any 5 days in a 7 day period.

About the role

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Driver’s Mate. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable however not required.
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.
