Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in Farnborough is recruiting a Driver's Mate to support drivers and warehouse teams with loading and unloading stock. You will assist in planning efficient routes to reach locations quickly and safely, while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes health and safety and offers full training, with a permanent, full-time structure and a range of benefits as part of a large UK beverages company.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a driver's mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable but not required.
• Customer service
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable; full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with efficient traffic routes to reach locations quickly and safely.

Job Title: Driver's Mate

Location: Farnborough, GU14 6JF

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 46 hours per week. Working predominantly on a Monday to Friday basis, but flexibility required to work any 5 days in a 7 day period. Start times from 5am onwards.

About the role:

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Driver's Mate. Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help you both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Prior experience working as a driver's mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable however not required.

• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
