Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting a Driver’s Mate based at Tiverton. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, you will assist the driver with loading/unloading and help keep routes efficient and safe.

The role is permanent, 48 hours per week, with shift times varying by route. You’ll build strong relationships with customers and colleagues while upholding health and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate or drayman is desirable but not required.
• Manual handling experience and/or training is desirable; full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.

Responsibilities

• Support the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Assist the driver with efficient routes to reach locations and return home safely.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and other departments.
• Maintain health and safety as a priority in all processes.

About the role:

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help you both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable however not required.
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.
