Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting a Driver’s Mate in the Cullompton/Tiverton area. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, you will support the driver and warehouse teams to load and unload stock and help ensure on-time deliveries across routes. This role offers training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a driver’s mate, drayman or warehouse role desirable but not required.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Manual handling experience or training desirable; full induction will be provided.
• Knowledge of the local region.

Responsibilities

• Support the driver and warehouse teams in loading and unloading of stock.
• Assist the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to reach locations safely and quickly.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and other departments.
• Maintain health and safety as a priority in all processes.

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 48 hours per week, shift start times can vary depending on route schedule.

About the role:

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Driver’s Mate. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help you both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable however not required.
• Customer service
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.
