Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies local to the branch, within a 30‑40 mile radius.

• The number of deliveries will vary day to day.

• Carrying out vehicle checks.

• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.

• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

• Assisting on the trade counter when deliveries are quiet.

This is a part‑time position working 20 hours per week.

Working Monday to Friday starting at either 07:30 am or 08:00 am.

Qualifications and skills we’d like you to have

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

• Previous multidrop driving is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.

• To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse and trader counter to ensure the smooth running of the branch.

• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
