Job summary

Wolseley is seeking a Delivery Driver 18T plus for Measham. You will deliver a wide range of items to various addresses, ensuring top-tier customer service and adherence to health and safety standards within the transport team.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a 45-hour week (Mon–Fri). The position offers a salary of £39,661.35 plus bonus and excellent benefits, including pension, generous annual leave, and staff discounts. A Class 2 HGV licence and CPC are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering to varied addresses with a focus on customer service.
• Full, valid Class 2 HGV licence and Driver CPC.
• Knowledge of tachographs and daily vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Work with transport team and handle loading/unloading as needed.

As a HGV Driver based in Measham youll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

And heres what wed like you to have:

• A full, Class 2 HGV licence
• Up to date knowledge of digital tachographs
• Driver CPC
• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
