Job summary

Wolseley in Milton Keynes is seeking a full-time HGV Driver (Class 1) to join the night-shift delivery team. You will operate 45 hours per week, delivering to various addresses, and provide excellent customer service while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full, Class 1 HGV licence required.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC required.
• Experience with handheld devices or willingness to learn.
• Confident interacting with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Adhere to health and safety; perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work within the transport team and coordinate with driving and admin staff.
• Load and unload at customers' premises when required.

As a HGV Driver based in Milton Keynes youll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes


• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time


• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand


• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects


• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration


• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday on the night shift

• A full, Class 1 HGV licence

• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
