Job summary

Wolseley Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a full-time HGV Delivery Driver on a night shift to join our Milton Keynes operation. You will deliver a wide range of items to different addresses, provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

The role requires a full Class 1 HGV licence, CPC, knowledge of digital tachographs, and comfort with handheld devices, with a focus on health and safety and teamwork within the transport group.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.
• Experience with digital technology/handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of items to different addresses on a night shift.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to be a positive brand ambassador.
• Carry out daily vehicle/ load checks and report defects as part of Health & Safety.
• Work collaboratively with the transport team and transport administration.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customers' premises when required.

As a HGV Driver based in Milton Keynes you'll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday on the night shift
