Job summary

Wolseley Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a Delivery Driver (32T) to join our fleet. You will deliver a wide variety of items to addresses via different routes and provide excellent customer service every day.

You will hold a full Class 1 HGV licence, CPC, Tachograph knowledge, and be comfortable with digital handheld devices. You'll work within the transport team, ensuring health and safety checks, loading/unloading when required.

Qualifications

• Full, Class 1 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.
• Experience with digital handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes.
• Offer excellent customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and Wolseley clients.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to, including daily vehicle/load checks.
• Work within the transport team and liaise with the driving team and transport administration.
• Unload and load on customers' premises when required.

As a HGV Driver based in Milton Keynes you'll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

Requirements

• A full, Class 1 HGV licence
• Up to date knowledge of digital tachographs
• Driver CPC
• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
