Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited in Measham is seeking a full-time HGV delivery driver (18T) to join our logistics team. You will deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses across routes while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role includes vehicle checks, adherence to health and safety, and working with the transport team. A Class 2 HGV licence, Driver CPC, tachographs knowledge and comfort with handheld devices are essential.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes.
• Offering excellent customer service at all times.
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers to ensure they are positive ambassadors of the Wolseley brand.
• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle, equipment and load and reporting any defects.
• Working within the transport team and liaising with drivers and transport administration.
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises when required.

As a HGV Driver based in Measham you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers' premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

• A full, Class 2 HGV licence
• Up to date knowledge of digital tachographs
• Driver CPC
• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
• Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
