Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group in Northampton is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to help keep our operations running smoothly by delivering goods safely and on time.

The role includes early shift patterns (Mon-Fri 04:00-06:00) with no weekends or bank holidays, a permanent full-time contract, and a competitive pay rate. Benefits include generous annual leave, pension contributions, and access to health resources.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code at all times.
• Carry out regular vehicle checks.
• 4-5 drops a day with some planned nights out.
• All deliveries offloaded by customer; no manual handling.
• Collecting returns (pallets and waste).
• No weekend or Bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• 4-5 Drops a day with some planned nights out
• All deliveries are offloaded by customer so no manual handling involved
• Collecting returns (Pallets and waste)
• No weekend or Bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown!

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
