Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Birmingham is seeking a Class 1 HGV Low Loader driver on a permanent full-time basis. The role features early AM starts (04:00–06:00) and delivering forklifts across the UK with safety and efficiency at the forefront.

You will perform vehicle checks, adhere to Driver Hours regulations, and follow The Highway Code and vehicle regulations. A competitive pension and benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience.
• Ideally have some experience driving low loaders.
• Forklift experience (essential).
• Have forklift licences (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Conduct vehicle checks in line with health and safety standards.
• Drive a Low Loader curtainside with ramp.
• Deliver forklifts around the UK.
• Occasional night outs may be required.

Pay Rate: £34,478.69 + Overtime after 40 hours weekly. Plus a quarterly performance bonus of £250.00

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday AM starts (04.00-06.00)

play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Driving a Low Loader vehicle Curtainside with ramp
• Delivering Forklifts around the UK
• This will involve the occasional night out
