Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 1 Day Driver for a permanent role based at Marsh Leys, Bedford. Typical shifts run Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 10:00, with a 48-hour week and paid breaks.

Deliveries across the south of England with emphasis on safety, compliance, and timely handovers. Training provided for wagon and drag; excellent pension and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Wagon and drag experience would be an advantage but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle; training provided.
• Delivery and collection of boxes at various sites across the south of England.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Perform regular vehicle checks.
• Handle customer products with care.

LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Day Driver - Tuesday to Saturday - based Marsh Leys, Bedford

Pay Rate: £46,658 based on a contracted 48 hour week - Paid breaks

Grade: Collective Agreement

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Tuesday to Saturday - Starts time 10:00

Location: Marsh Leys, Bedford MK43 9AA

We're now looking for a Class 1 Day Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle - training provided
• Collection and delivery and collection of boxes at various home delivery sites across the south of England
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience
• Wagon and drag experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided
