Domestic Supervisor – Chorleywood, Hertfordshire

Location: Burford House Care Home, Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8am to 4pm, shifts across Monday to Sunday

About the Role

As Domestic Supervisor, you will lead and support the Domestic Team to ensure the care home remains clean, comfortable and safe for residents, staff and visitors at all times. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all housekeeping and laundry operations
  • Leading, training and motivating the domestic team to maintain consistently high standards
  • Developing and managing cleaning schedules in line with health and safety requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control and COSHH regulations
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies as required
  • Carrying out regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly
  • Completing audits including COSHH, Laundry and Infection Control
  • Cleaning communal areas, corridors, lounges and residents’ rooms while respecting privacy
  • Maintaining and correctly storing all cleaning equipment
  • Supporting general household duties that promote residents’ comfort, dignity and wellbeing
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or management, ideally within a care home or hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership, organisational and time-management skills
  • A good understanding of health and safety and infection control procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail with a caring, positive and proactive approach
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required
