As a Dog Welfare Supervisor you will be part of a team who care about making a difference to dogs lives every day. You will be responsible for ensuring our dogs receive excellent care whilst motivating, managing, and supporting our Dog Welfare Assistants.

What does this role do?

As Dog Welfare Supervisor, you’ll:

  • Be supervising and supporting Dog Welfare Assistants to make sure our four-legged friends get their daily exercise, training and enrichment and that their kennels are clean and comfortable until we find them their forever home
  • Co-ordinating the kennel block, helping with induction and training, completing monthly supervisions, and making sure Dog Welfare Assistants feel supported at work
  • Be continuously driving high standards of dog care and ensuring SOPs and processes are followed
  • Occasionally be site supervisor on a rota basis

This role is a fixed term contract from the 4th February 2026 to the 4th of February 2027.

Interviews for this role a provisionally scheduled for the 16th January 2026.

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent knowledge of dog welfare and experience of working in rehoming. You'll need to lead by example, as you won’t be line managing people, but you’ll be supervising staff as they complete day-to-day tasks. Additionally, a positive and pro-active attitude, and an ambition to make sure our dogs receive the best standard of care is essential.

A full, manual driving licence is also essential, as driving will be a part of the role.
