Job summary

HSBC Group in the United Kingdom invites an experienced Director, Business Development & Strategic Growth to lead NTB origination. The role focuses on strategy, governance, coordination and execution across the area, enabling Relationship Directors to focus on client acquisition.

It requires strong banking and business development credentials, a broad internal network and a disciplined approach to governance.

Qualifications

• Strong corporate banking and business development experience.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and growth delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience leading initiatives in a matrix environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability.
• Possess local area expertise and contact network.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the NTB growth strategy with a strong pipeline.
• Own the Area NTB pipeline and governance; chair reviews.
• Coordinate between Area, DFO, Sector and Product teams.
• Lead pursuit discipline and improve win rates through structured processes.
• Lead Area events and KBI activity, using prospecting tools.
• Own reporting, pipeline analytics and performance tracking.
• Ensure origination activities meet risk, governance and conduct standards.
• Support client acquisitions with central leadership for origination.
