Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Director of Business Development & Strategic Growth to lead NTB origination and drive growth across domestic and international client relationships. The role coordinates Coverage, Sector, DFO and Product teams to deliver sustainable revenue growth and robust pipeline discipline.

Hybrid work arrangement with flexibility for Bristol, Cardiff or Exeter bases.

Qualifications

• Strong Corporate Banking and business development experience.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and growth delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience leading initiatives in a matrix environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability.
• Possess local area expertise and own contact network.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the NTB growth strategy and maintain a high-quality pipeline of priority opportunities.
• Chair pipeline reviews and prioritisation forums, ensuring opportunities are qualified, progressed and resourced.
• Coordinate across Area, DFO, Sector and Product teams to enable client acquisition and remove barriers to execution.
• Lead pursuit discipline and improve win rates through structured engagement with key prospects.
• Lead Area events and business development initiatives, and oversee tools and market intelligence.
• Own reporting, pipeline analytics and performance tracking, and provide insights to optimise growth.
• Ensure origination activities operate within HSBC risk appetite and governance standards.
