💰 up to £85k per annum + Bonus

🕐 40 Hours / 5 Days a week as required

We are seeking a visionary Director of Spa and Wellness to lead the long-term direction, philosophy, and operational excellence of the Spa at a prestigious luxury estate in the UK. This defining role requires blending strategic leadership, product innovation, and guest experience design to position the establishment as a global leader in luxury wellbeing.

You will define the spa's future, shaping new experiences, anticipating industry trends, and setting uncompromising standards across all services and guest touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Develop and deliver a bold, long-term wellness strategy that elevates the estate's offering to global prominence.
• Define and uphold the spa's wellness philosophy, ensuring every touchpoint reflects its identity and world-class standards.
• Monitor global wellness trends, innovations, and competitor activity to maintain a market-leading position.
• Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, service expansion, and experience development.

Guest Experience & Product Innovation

• Create signature treatments, seasonal programmes, workshops, and holistic experiences rooted in natural and traditional practices.
• Champion the development of treatments that reflect the unique wellness narrative of the location.
• Ensure exceptional treatment quality and guest satisfaction in collaboration with the Spa Manager and Head Therapist.

Team & Operational Excellence

• Inspire, mentor, and develop the wider Spa team (approx. 20 members) with calm, grounded leadership.
• Foster a culture of elevated hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Use data‑driven insight and sound judgement to safeguard quality, safety, and financial performance.
• Identify revenue opportunities across treatments, workshops, retail, and partnerships.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Leadership: Senior leadership experience within luxury hospitality, destination spas, or wellness resorts.
• Vision: Proven strategic mindset with a track record of innovation and a strong understanding of global wellness trends.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets.
• Experience: International luxury spa or wellness experience, and experience with achieving Spa accolades.
• Wellness Focus: Genuine passion for natural therapies and wellness traditions. Background in natural or plant‑based treatment development is desirable.
• Qualifications Desired: CIDESCO, CIBTAC, or ITEC certification.
